10 Questions every Christian must answer – A Christian responds and so do we

image A little while back I made a post containing a YouTube video in which ten questions are made which all Christians should be able to answer. They are very simple questions and the motivation for asking them is to generate some cognitive dissonance. The only way a Christian can answer is by making up all kinds of excuses and twisted inconsistent theologies for their apologetics of their faith.

I received a very long response to the article from Dave Lewerenz, who was kind enough to give me his answers to the questions. His responses are not very well thought out and contain a lot of errors.

The original article is here: http://www.deconverts.com/2008/07/21/10-questions-that-every-christian-must-answer/

The questions are:

  1. “Why won’t God heal amputees?”
  2. “Why are there so many starving people in the world?”
  3. “Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible?”
  4. “Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense?”
  5. “Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible?”
  6. “Why do bad things happen to good people?”
  7. “Why didn’t any of Jesus’ miracles in the Bible leave behind any evidence?”
  8. “How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you?”
  9. “Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood?”
  10. “Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians?”

The questions are explained on the video here:
