Pat Condell is back with yet another on-target video in response to religious arguments. With all due respect of course!

Part documentary, part expose, this film follows one-time child evangelist Marjoe Gortner on the “church tent” Revivalist circuit, commenting on the showmanship of Evangelism and “the religion business”, prior to the start of “televangelism”. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068924/
Daily Mail: One third of British Muslim students say it’s acceptable to kill for Islam

The statistics shown below speak for themselves:
Originally published in the Daily Mail, 28th July 2008
- 60% of students in Islamic societies felt killing for religion could be justified
- 59% of Muslim students thought women should wear a veil
- 50% said they would not support a friend’s decision to leave Islam (but 50% would?)
- 40% felt it was wrong for men and women to mix freely
- 26% of female Muslim students felt men and women were treated equally (do they know how wrong they are?)
- 25% said they did have little or not much respect for homosexuals
- 24% did not think that men and women were equal in the eyes of Allah
- 6% said friends who left Islam should be punished by sharia law (i.e beheading)
The punishment for apostasy (deconverting from Islam) is explained best on the Wikipedia article here:
In Islamic law (sharia), the consensus view is that a male apostate must be put to death unless he suffers from a mental disorder or converted under duress, for example, due to an imminent danger of being killed. A female apostate must be either executed, according to Shafi’i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), or imprisoned until she reverts to Islam as advocated by the Sunni Hanafi school and by Shi’a scholars.[15]
