Newsnight – UK Islamic faith schools promoting religious hatred

The headteacher (Dr Sumaya Alyusuf) of a UK taxpayer-supported faith school was recently demonstrated to be under Saudi control under intense questioning on NewsNight recently. The religious debacle comes about as Mr Colin Cook, an English teacher claims that he was unfairly sacked from the school after receiving race distrimination (he’s a white english male) and victimisation. The school denies all the allegations.

Of interest were a few issues brought to light by Mr Cook; that children were caught cheating on GCSE exams (a claim denied by the school). It was after blowing the whistle that he claims he received victimisation and was ultimately sacked.

Mr Cook brought to light that the school teaches an Islamic curriculum, funded by the Saudi government which encourages year 1 children (11 to 12 year olds) to complete exercises such as putting the word “Islam” into the following gap: “Every religion other than …. is worthless”, and “Whom soever dies outside of Islam enters …”, the answer to this sweet little mindteaser is “Hellfire”. Jews and Christians are pigs too, according to the same literature which Dr Sumaya Alyusuf would not deny on national television.

Watch as Dr Sumaya Alyusuf squirms and tries to placate the host with a pre-prepared slosh of politically correct white noise, all whilst avoiding the question and maintaining the implication that it is the long arm of Saudi and not her (or even our own country) that is in control of the school and curriculum.

I bet she wishes she’d never gone on TV.
